How I create eye-popping packaging
Regardless of which approach you go with, there are some basic steps we need to take to get your packaging designed properly.

We start by talking on the phone. We need to know if we are a good fit. If for some reason we just don't click, that's cool. I'll try to give you some advice on what steps you can take next.

This is where you'll have to do a little bit of homework. Sorry, not sorry. You'll fill out a branding workbook and then we will have a call to refine your answers. This step ensures that we are on the same page with what makes your company different and the goals of the project.

We need a visual target. I collect inspiration from different places to show you what general direction I am headed with your designs. This includes photos, lettering, patterns, and colors. I don't want to design anything until you and I agree on the feeling you're looking for.

I will take all that information we've collected and talked about and start designing your labels. I present three options all of which fit within the visual target and goals set out in the concept workshop.

After you pick one of the initial directions I can move on to putting the finishing touches on your labels. This includes nutrition panels, ingredients, health claims, UPC codes, etc.

If we are working on one of the longer-term packages, I design all the additional deliverables that we agree you need. See below.

If you signed up for the marathon package then you're in luck. Most brands launch within four months. That means you have me for another eight months as your on-call art department to support you as you grow. No matter what comes up, I am here to help.
